Santiago advices shipping companies, companies related to agro-business and foreign investors. He has been actively involved in privatization processes, public bids and negotiations of public services concession agreements with national and provincial authorities. His area of practice also includes commercial agreements, corporate law, M&A and tax planning for private clients. He obtained his JD degree in 1993, at the School of Law of the Argentine Catholic University. In 1997 he attained the program Orientation in American Law, at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. In 1999 he obtained his LL.M. degree at the School of Law of Duke University, North Carolina, USA. In 1999-2000 he worked for Shearman & Sterling as an international associate for the department of Project Development & Finance, in New York, USA. In 2005 he completed the course of Juridical Aspects of Finance with the CEDEF Law Institute, in Buenos Aires. He worked as a junior associate with Cibils | Labougle | Ibañez (1994-1998), as a senior associate with Estudio O’Farrell (2001-2004), as a founding partner with Estudio Chiesa, Cornu Labat & Ries Centeno (2005-2011) and since then as of counsel of different law firms in Buenos Aires until the start-up of CLO. Santiago has been or is a member to many boards of directors of local and foreign companies, such as: syndic of Provincia Leasing S.A. and BAPRO Mandatos y Negocios S.A. (2006-2008); president of the Board of Directors of Propiedades Inmobiliarias S.A. (2008 to date); Legal Representative in Argentina to Exmar Shipmanagement NV, of Belgium (2012-2013); Legal Representative in Argentina of Reinke Manufacturing Company Inc., Nebraska, USA (2014 to date), president of the Board of Directors of Reinke Argentina S.A. (2014 to date), director of Exmar Argentina SAU (2019 to date).
